Clinical Boss Podcast
The Clinical Boss Podcast helps licensed clinicians (BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, therapists, and other allied health professionals) build a scalable business from the expertise they already have. Host Mellanie Page (BCBA, MBA) breaks down how to package your clinical knowledge into CEUs, online courses, coaching, and paid communities, so your income stops being capped by billable hours.
Each short episode covers one thing you can use right away: how to create and sell a CEU course, how to launch your first online offer, how to begin coaching or consulting, how to grow an audience of the right people, and how to market like a behavior analyst (because buying is behavior).
This isn't generic business advice that ignores your clinical background. It's the strategy, systems, and steps to turn your expertise into income and impact.

14. The Reason You Don't Start is the Reason You Should
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The three reasons clinicians give for not starting an online business are time, money, and "I don't know how." Turn each one over and they stop being reasons to wait. Mellanie Page walks through why the feeling of having no time is structural, not a scheduling problem, why tight money is the strongest argument for leverage rather than against it, and why the third objection is the only one you cannot reframe your way out of. Your objection is your evidence.
In this episode:
- Time: you cannot out-calendar income that is welded to your hours. The reason you feel like you have no time is the exact reason you need the thing you think you have no time to build.
- Money: tight money is not a budgeting problem. For most clinicians it is tight because there is exactly one lever, the lever is hours, and you are out of them.
- The quiet cost of waiting: deciding you cannot afford to build leverage is deciding to trade the one resource you can never make more of for the one you can, forever, at a fixed rate.
- "I don't know how" is a gap, not a verdict. But this is the one reframing cannot fix, because mindset does not download competence. The shortcut is a guide who has already built the thing.
- Three things to do today: name which objection is loudest, do the ugly math on your actual hourly ceiling, and find one real person who has already built what you want.
This one is for clinicians (BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, therapists, and allied health professionals) who have the idea and a genuinely excellent list of reasons now is not the time.
